While the reception staff had varying levels of friendliness, I was pleased to discover a lovely Argentine volunteer who spoke Spanish and made my experience more welcoming. The hostel's bar buzzed with life, complementing the comfortable mattresses that ensured a good night's sleep after a day of exploring. I especially enjoyed the continental breakfast, which offered a modest yet accessible start to my mornings. If you're looking for a convenient base near cultural sites like the Contemporary Art Museum and the Oscar Niemeyer Museum, Garibaldi is ideally located. I would advise fellow non-Portuguese speakers to exercise patience when navigating communication barriers among the staff.
